The Ordinary

The Ordinary is brought to you by the same team behind FIG but it is completely focused on seafood.  Oysters are a mainstay in the low country and The Ordinary knows how to deliver.  While Oysters are a specialty that The Ordinary offers a variety of seafood including Lobster, Shrimp, Grouper and Snapper to name a few.  If you like seafood, The Ordinary is not going to disappoint.  Insider tips, the Sliders are a must but if you have a large group, get the tower!

Xiao Bao Biscuit

Chef Joshua Walker brought Asian comfort food to Charleston in a 40’s era gas station converted to a fusion of Southeastern Asian cuisines.  Xiao Bao recommends family style dishes but doesn’t take large groups or reservations. Insider tip, if the weather’s nice you can grab a picnic table out front.

5 Church is located in an old Church across the street from The Market but it is not a tourist trap restaurant.  Jamie Lynch (who competed on Season 14 of Bravo’s Top Chef) has provided a menu with local inspirations, a 35 oz Cowboy chop (we haven’t had time to try that one yet) risotto and fresh scallops that we crave.  5 Church is perfect for a large group or even a corporate event.  Insider tip, dress nice if you sit near the front as tourist often take pictures of the old Church.

Halls is a family owned Steak house that prides themselves on excellent service, fantastic food and the personal touch of a Hall Family member being there every night to greet guests.  Great Steaks, Wine and side dishes will please anyone who loves a great meal.  Insider tip, go with a larger group and order different side dishes so you can try multiple.
